Apple fans, get ready because the iPhone 12 is the final and most innovative product Apple will ever release on the iPhone platform for this year! If you didn’t read the sentence thoroughly, you would have thought I said the iPhone was never going to be produced again. Gotcha! But here’s the fact: there won’t be any more iPhone releases this year after the iPhone 12, with the latter’s release price hitting the moon.
Recall from the previous paragraph, I said that the iPhone’s price would definitely skyrocket! It will, but this is the last time the iPhone will do so. Wondering why I said and how I know so? That, and many more, will be revealed in this article.
Studies have shown that the iPhone has been generating revenue over the past six years from insignificant hikes in retail and wholesale prices. Formerly, you could get your hands on an iPhone for as little as $120, which as at 2015 translates to ₦29,000 naira. Currently, if you plan on getting a brand new, quality, and high-performance iPhone, you should budget at least $1200, which translates to about ₦465,600.
Apple has released varieties of the iPhone, starting from the iPhone to the iPhone 4, 5, 6, 6s, 7, 7s, 8, 8 plus, X, XS, XS Max, and finally the current iPhone 11 series.

The iPhone has proven to be Apple’s most popular product since its introduction in the early 2000s. With the increase in the need for efficiency and multi-tasking products, which are durable, and effective, the sale of iPhones are just getting bigger. And, with the introduction of the iPhone 12, which critics hope will be the end of the iPhone production, things have just started getting even better!
Features to expect in iPhone 12
Apple’s iPhone 12 is Apple’s latest product, which will be released sometime in September 2020. Early rumors also indicate a very large difference in the design and other features pertaining to the iPhone. Enough of the chit-chat, let’s take a comprehensive look at some of the iPhone 12 features.
Design
The current design of this phone has been rumored to look just like that of the iPhone 4. This theory indicates that Apple has gone back to the days of slab-sided design. It will still feature curved glass edges around the display, just like the iPhone 11. Rumors also indicate it will be an all stainless-steel body, and will also have three rear cameras and a flash light.
The iPhone 12 has LCP, which stands for Liquid Crystal Polymer. Due to its temperature resistance and reduced electrical loss features, LCP is a material used in creating phone antennas. These design features will be common to the iPhone 12 series.
Display
The iPhone 12 series will have a full-body display. This decision by the production company implies that the iPhone 12’s front screen will be about 6.1 inches to 6.7 inches depending on the model you buy. The screens have also been rumoured to be OLED displays. This action will benefit users with battery optimization and poor vision conditions. The iPhone 12 will come with an enhanced retina display alongside its OLED lights.
Processors
The processor is the all-new A14 Bionic processor, which boasts refresh rates of about 120Hz on all Pro models. This processor speed is actually impressive and will be great for people looking forward to combining tasks while working.
Storage & RAM
The iPhone 12 series will feature large storage options. iPhone 12 – 128GB, Pro – 256GB, Max – 512GB, and iPhone 12 Pro Max – 1TB. The RAM capacity for each model is: iPhone 12 Pro & Pro MAX – 6GB RAM; iPhone 12 & iPhone 12 MAX-4GB RAM.
Connectivity
The iPhone 12 series is also rumoured to feature the latest in network connectivity, 5G internet. In my previous article 5G and Internet of Things (IoT), you’ll understand that 5G is the next big thing for people looking to further advance in technology, marketing, and so on.
Also, the latest versions of Bluetooth, Hotspot, and Wi-Fi are said to have been added to the different models of the device.
Camera
Apple users accustomed to the new upgrades that have been implemented on the iPhone 11 will not be surprised to see some of those features in the iPhone 12. The only difference between the existing features and those in the new smartphone is the upgrade. Well, here is an upgrade for you to feast your mind on-it’s rumoured that the iPhone 12 Pro & iPhone 12 Pro Max will feature a triple rear camera + LiDAR sensor; the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max will have a dual camera setup.
Battery
Nothing much has been said about the iPhone 12’s battery life. The only rumor released is that this product’s battery would be relatively smaller than that of the iPhone 11 or others.
These are just leaks, and some of these features might not exactly appear in the original phone.
