Many people find it a bit difficult to decide the kind of phone they’d like to get on their next purchase. Well, this article has been published to cover your doubts and many other problems relating to choosing your next smartphone when it boils down to Samsung Galaxy A10e or Tecno Spark 4.
If you’ve been considering Samsung or Tecno as possible purchases, this review is certainly for you. Samsung recently released its Galaxy A10e smartphone, from the A series, which was released almost at the same time as Tecno’s Spark 4. Both of which have recently been making waves in providing users with the desired comfort while maintaining their luxurious nature.
Samsung phones have been known to be very expensive, but some time ago, the company decided to reduce the prices of its phones to make it easier for people with low budgets to purchase them. The reduction in price came with mid-range smartphones packed with great features, which are discussed further in this article.
Tecno, on the other hand, has started the Spark series, which has been a significant hit since its inception. In Nigeria, the Spark series is considered “trendy” among youths due to the Tecno brand’s popularity. Some features of the Spark 4 are discussed further in this article.

Features of Samsung Galaxy A10e vs. Tecno Spark 4
Below, the features will be discussed first under different sub-topics and later in a tabular form.
Pricing
Obviously, Samsung devices are usually very expensive, which is a notable feature the product has been associated with. Tecno has been known for producing pocket-friendly devices, which are mainly smartphones, and being very useful with their multi-features.
Last summer, Samsung decided to release a pocket-friendly mobile device that would provide the features an expensive Samsung phone is supposed to have. Samsung’s Galaxy A10e is currently priced at $120, which translates to 46,560 Nigerian naira. The Tecno Spark 4 is now about $110, which also translates to 42,680 naira.
Storage
Samsung phones are known to have huge ROM (Read-only Memory), and I’m sure you already know this. This Galaxy A10e was designed to meet users’ needs for enough storage space with its whopping 64GB ROM (for a budget device), which is also expandable up to 1TB.
Tecno is not really known for making phones with extremely large storage, except for a few of its Camon, Phantom, and Spark series. The Spark series is known for having ample storage space, but this device has a storage space of 32GB and supports up to 256GB of external space. Either way, both devices have equally ample storage space, which should be sufficient for all your storage needs if you’re not a “heavy user.”
Display
Tecno specializes in the production of phones with large displays, and this new product has an exciting new display feature that’ll wow you. Tecno’s Spark 4 has a 6.1-inch LCD display, with each part being very touch-sensitive.
The Galaxy A10e also packs an LCD screen with a size of about 6.4 inches. It supports eye care and is very touch-sensitive.
Processor & Speed
Tecno’s smartphone software is the HIOS UI, based on Android OS, which is usually updated with minor monthly security patches. The Spark 4’s Android version is Android 9.0, known as Pie. The Spark 4 is also powered by a quad-core Mediatek Helio A22 processor, a fairly good chipset for gaming, amateur photography, etc. It also packs 2GB of RAM with about 2.0 GHz of processor speed.
Samsung’s near-stock Android OS initially powered Samsung devices, but since the release of their new devices such as the Galaxy S8, Note8, and so on, Samsung started implementing the use of its One UI. Although not all Samsung phones are powered by One UI, some still use stock Android, which is equally effective.
The Galaxy A10e is powered by an Octa-core processor, the Exynos 7884B or Snapdragon 450 chipset (dependent on the model and your region), which are both fairly good for gaming and running other apps. The Galaxy A10e also has two RAM options—3GB/2GB RAM and a 1.8GHz processor speed, which is way better than Spark 4.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy A10e has an 8MP front camera, which is capable of capturing bright and distant images. Its rear camera is 13MP, which is good enough for a budget phone from the Samsung brand. The camera is HDR compatible and records/captures pictures in a real-life format.
The Tecno Spark 4, on the other hand, has a 5MP front camera and a 12MP rear camera, which is manageable for a phone of its capacity and price. It also has an extra 0.5MP camera, which is meant to support its rear camera. The Spark 4’s camera is enabled for continuous shooting, HDR, and Auto Flash.
Battery
Generally, both devices have excellent and long-lasting batteries, but one has a capacity greater than the other. The Galaxy A10e has a non-removable 4000mAh Li-Polymer battery, which is capable of lasting about two days once fully charged.
The Spark 4 also has a 3000mAh Li-polymer battery. One relevant difference between both battery comparisons is that the Spark 4’s battery is removable and has a slightly lower capacity.
