ASUS has announced a new generation of flagship smartphones. To date, it is represented by only one model-the ASUS Zenfone 9.
The novelty is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chip with a peak frequency of 3.19 GHz and an Adreno 730 GPU. The amount of RAM is 8/16 GB, and the capacity of the internal drive is 128/256 GB. There is no microSD card slot.
On the front of the ASUS Zenfone 9 is a 5.92-inch Full HD+ display with support for a frame rate of 120 Hz and HDR10+. The Super AMOLED matrix is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. There is a 16 MP selfie camera in the top left corner.
The main cameras of the smartphone received Sony IMX766 and Sony IMX363 sensors of 50 MP and 12 MP, respectively. According to the manufacturer, the main module (50 MP) has OIS and 2x zoom without loss of quality. You can record videos in 8K UHD at 24 FPS and 4K UHD at 30–120 FPS.
The battery capacity is 4300 mAh. It supports 30W fast charging. The smartphone has stereo sound, NFC, Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C, and a mini-jack. The fingerprint scanner is installed on the right side of the case. The protection corresponds to the IP68 standard.
The ASUS Zenfone 9 costs €800 in Europe for the basic version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The smartphone comes with ZenUI firmware, based on the Android 12 operating system. Available body colors are: Sunset Red, Moonlight White, Starry Blue, and Midnight Black.
