The smartphone market has never been more diverse than right now. Everyone’s looking for the next best smartphone and the industry obliges. In 2021 so far, we’ve already gotten a few heavyweights that may come at a premium price, but they’re worth it. With Samsung Galaxy’s new series arriving early next year, it’s time to see which smartphones topped the charts in 2021.
At least so far – there might a few surprises hitting the market before 2022 arrives.
iPhone 13 Pro Max
Another year – another iPhone. While many believed that Apple’s new phone will come with some radical changes, the company took last year’s route delivering a familiar iPhone. It uses the same design as the 12 Pro Max albeit with a smaller notch. Those visual improvements are followed by Apple’s latest blazing-fast A15 Bionic chip which feels like an overkill.
The other internals are mostly the same – 6 gigs of RAM and the same camera island with some software improvements. It’s a gorgeous and sleek phone with an even better screen. Whether you’re reading a review of Bitcoin casino or watching HDR content on Netflix, the 6.7-inch AMOLED screen is among the best the market has to offer.
If you’ve got the money for it, this is the best phone you can buy.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra
Unlike previous Galaxy smartphones, the S21 Ultra remained relevant for the biggest part of the year. The Ultra is a serious piece of hardware and widely believed to be the best Android smartphone you can buy right now.
It has a bright 6.8-inch OLED screen with incredible resolution of 3,800×1,400 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The cameras are fantastic too, and the phone comes with either 12 or 16 GB of RAM. It’s quite the looker too, even if it’s a bit heavy and has no charger included. It’s a premium phone for a premium price, but worth it for Android fans. Checkout top 5 cases for Galaxy S21 here.
Google Pixel 6
Pixel leaks have been going on for months before Google finally unveiled its latest device. And it was a bit of a shock in the positive sense. The Pixel 6 is the ultimate Pixel phone running on vanilla Android. The previous Pixels all had stuff fans didn’t like, but this time, the tech giant did everything right.
It’s a gorgeous phone with great colors and specs that can put any other Android smartphone to shame. The new Tensor CPU is fast and efficient. Paired with 8 GB of RAM, it works like a charm. The 6.4-inch OLED screen looks fantastic, especially with Android’s new color-theming. The AI-focused chip offers something completely fresh, and the phone is cheap too.
If we’re being honest, this might be the smartphone steal of 2021.
Oppo Find X3 Pro
The Find X3 Pro raised many eyebrows when it hit the market earlier this year. It’s a fantastic device and a great flagship alternative if you want to spend less than thousands on a new phone. Oppo did a fantastic thing with the design and put the new Snapdragon 888 in the phone so it can easily handle everything you throw at it.
The screen is nothing short of amazing, a 120 Hz 6.7-inch OLED juggernaut. It’s a phone for regular and power users that comes at a fraction of the premium-priced smartphones on the market.
OnePlus 9 Pro
Those looking for true premium flagship value should take a look at the OP 9 Pro. Reviews were a bit mixed, especially when it comes to the design, but it’s a fact that this is a seriously powerful phone with plenty of gimmicks. It is powered by the Snapdragon 888 with 8 or 12 GB of RAM, and the storage capacity goes up to 256 GB. The camera island features Hasselblad lenses with OIS and Laser AF. It’s a perfect phone for all people with flagship-stats that can go up against the best smartphones.
