Motorola has planned the launch of a new 5G smartphone, the Motorola Kiev 5G. The new Motorola budget 5G smartphone was leaked by TechnikNews. They published the codename and model number of the smartphone, as well as its chipset, camera specs, and a few other things.
According to the publication, the smartphone will support 5G connectivity hence the 5G in its name and also was given the codename “Kiev”; that is the capital city of Ukraine by the way. So maybe there is a link or reason to that name, but that is currently unclear.
The Motorola Kiev 5G will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with an additional micro-SD card slot. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 and run Android 10 OS.

The display size of the Motorola Kiev 5G is unknown at the moment. But what is known is that the display material will be an OLED panel with HDR and FHD resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate.
The camera specifications seem pretty impressive. It will have a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 2MP OmniVsision depth sensor. The triple rear cameras will work together to produce good quality photos. An ultra-wide-angle camera on the device is lacking, though. The front camera will be a 16MP sensor, which is a good fit for a midrange phone. The phone is likely to come with a notch or a punch hole. We can only wait to find out more on this.
It will also be NFC. Many other features of the smartphone are currently unknown. The launch date, marketing name, design, and even price are yet to be known, but it is speculated to be inexpensive.

Motorola is known for launching mid-range smartphones. They always try to make their mid-range phones affordable, with the company recently launching the Moto G9 Plus and Moto E7 Plus on that note. With this in mind, it is fair to expect the price of the Motorola Kiev 5G, which has already been announced to be inexpensive, to be about $200. It is also rumoured that the device could be one of the cheapest 5G smartphones available.
The coming weeks can only help in revealing more. We can finally say that the Motorola Kiev is on its way and will come sooner rather than later, especially as the rumours are spreading even more. It was also speculated to come in two variants, one with NFC (model number XT2113-2) and the other without NFC and having the XT2113-3 model number. Both prices are expected to still be around the affordable limit.
