Lenovo Legion Slim 7i Gaming Laptop Review

A fully packed holiday with stocks is what Lenovo plans to offer, as they are releasing a new device called ‘Legion Slim 7i gaming laptop’. It comes with merriment for game lovers and lovers of flat, slim devices. This is a classic in both areas, as it is the slimmest of any legion laptop, weighing less than 4 pounds- that’s 1.86 kilogram; 18mm thick or 0.71 inches thick.

To be aware, ‘light weight’, ‘thin’ or ‘slim’ are usually not characteristics of a gaming laptop. So with this, Lenovo is bringing out a new lightweight machine with the ability to still provide you with the best gaming experience and yet so portable that it easily fits in your PC bag.

Lenovo Legion Slim 7i

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7i is a 15-inch system with Nvidia RTX graphics. Has options of 144Hz 1080p full HD display or a 60Hz 4K HDR screen with 600 nits of brightness. Both display options support Dolby vision and Dolby Atmos immersive sound.

This computer’s baseline is made of the Intel Core i5-10300H, Nvidia’s GTX 1650 Ti, and 8GB of DDR4 RAM. There’s also the option of Intel Core i9-10980HK processor, 32GB RAM, and 2TB of NVMe M.2 storage configuration option. This will definitely cost more than the starting price for the baseline system, which is about $1,329 USD. With the price unknown for the improved configuration, it is still expected to be higher.

In terms of I/O, all configurations are equipped with duo Thunderbolt 3 ports, headphone jack, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and a full-size SD card reader.

An adorable feature the Lenovo slim 7i possess is the ColdFront 2.0 cooling system. It is definitely the same one found in the Legion Y740Si, but with a noiseless effect and the ability to take in 31 percent more air. You can rest assured that this system is not going to make excessive noise, neither is it going to get hot as rapid as most PCs would, while gaming.

Remember that this power Gaming laptop GPU options start with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti and can go up to the aforementioned RTX 2060 Max-Q. While its CPUs entry-level option is Intel Core i5-10300H and can go up to an i9-10980HK.

It also uses Max-Q Dynamic Boost to shift power between the CPU and GPU. And Advanced Optimus to switch between graphics, depending on workloads. This leads to a great battery performance and higher frame rate, as it is expectant to boost performance by up to 10 percent.

The battery of the Legion Slim 7i gaming laptop allows rapid charging and last up to 7 – 8 hours. But will the battery life and cooling solution be this efficient when under severe long period gaming load?

The Lenovo Slim 7i gaming laptop is specifically built to perform the function of a laptop that can do anything basic, but with gaming intention propelling the making.
