Thanks,
Hello,
I just downloaded 340480B1519K88V2.0.0B15(SD card software).zip for the ZTE K88 that was originally an AT&T tablet. I followed the instructions to the letter (I believe), but when I tried to install it, I got an error message that said it couldn’t find the package in my SD card. Using file mgr, it shows the zip file there, so I’m stumped.
Any suggestions?
Did you put the file in any particular folder?
I put it in the SD card, not in any particular folder. It shows up as the last entry…
As I\’m new to this forum, I don\’t know what to expect waiting for a reply… Please let me know if I did anything wrong, as I really want to understand how this works.
Please send a snapshot of the file (where you have placed it in the SDcard) to [email protected]
I\’ll give it a try… I\’m not very skilled in the android environment, as I\’m sure you\’ve gathered.
Yeah, I understand that. You can take the shot from a different phone, if it helps!
Is there anyone on this forum who\’s had success installing this file on a K88? I believe that AT&T has this tablet so locked down I don\’t think there\’s an avenue to installing this update. I\’m not very skilled in the Android environment, but once I saw there\’s no way to even look at the main drive through Windows, connected through USB with Developer Options turned on, I think it may be impossible.
I really hope there\’s someone out there that\’s been successful.
My current firmware versión is b33. Can i download and isntall the b17 ir do i hace to update firmware first?
Thanks.
Yes, you can download and install B17 update if you\’re still running Marshmallow firmware. You need to backup all important data (and firmware, if possible); also removed linked Google account before updating.
But wait, do you already have an OTA update notification?
Is it possible to downgrade from Nougat to Marshmallow? My tablet updated yesterday and it broke the large SD capacity capability as well phone and sms.
You can downgrade if only you have a flashtool firmware for the device. The SD Card software updates don\’t support firmware downgrade but the opposite. If you\’re having software issues after OTA update, I\’d advise you to backup all important data, remove Google account from the device and do a factory reset.
Hi what is the flashtool firmware that you speak of? Also I did do a factory reset and no luck in getting the functionality back.
The flashtool firmware is one you can install on your device via PC. Unfortunately, we don\’t have that file for K88.
