The later was the highlight of the day, or at least for those waiting on a budget gaming PC. The Dell G7 15 Gaming Laptop is a mid-range gaming laptop available in two sizes: 15-inches and 17-inches. It’s a slim, new designed device in comparison to the G7 models, with Dell calling it a “Slim but savage” gaming laptop.
Slim is the new deal in recent laptops made, as they get slimmer by each release acquiring more portability possible at every single chance of re-creation.

DELL brings along the latest Intel Processors and NVIDIA graphics that shaped the new G7 15 which went on sale from the 29th of June. It gives options in specifications as it comes with choices like a three Intel 10th Gen processors: which are
- The quad-core i5-10300H that runs up to 4.5GHz
- The six-core i7-1075H runs up to 5GHz
- The top-end Core i9-10980HK running up to 5.3GHz.
The CPUs each can be paired with 8GB, 16GB RAM which can be later expanded to 32GB. And storage racked into this device can be 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB of PCIe M.2 SSD space.
For the Graphics specification, the G7 15 Gaming Laptop also come in different options:
- GeForce GTX 1650 Ti that comes with 6GB of GDDR6.
- GeForce RTX 2060 with 6GB of GDDR6.
- GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q with 8GB of GDDR6.
Going down the ranks or slide means you get a better CPU and GPU if a more powerful computer is needed by you.

The options the Dell G7 15 Gaming Laptop comes with is so significant to the love affair many lovers have for this device. To the point even the display comes in three different resolutions, with your preference the decider.
The gaming laptop comes with a USB 2.0 Type-A port and an SD card reader on the right. On the left also a USB 3.2 Type-A port, headset jack and the necessary power connection. The back is equipped with another USB 3.2 Type-A port, a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, HDMI 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet port and a mini Display Port.
Frankly, if you are a fan of the Alienware series and the price seems disturbing, getting one of these is your next best option. A few cons though:
- Battery life not really great.
- The cooling fans can be noisy depending on the work rate.
But overall, you have a cool design, good screen display, decent stereo speakers, right amount of ports, and a totally above average performance on the Dell G7 15 Gaming Laptop.
