Oppo brings its Reno12 series to Europe, offering a unique set of features tailored for the European market. The smartphones incorporate energy-efficient chipsets, advanced AI capabilities, and innovative communication tools for emergency situations.

The Reno12 series introduces a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset, a collaborative effort between MediaTek and Oppo, designed to maximize power efficiency. This chipset features a combination of powerful ARM Cortex-A78 cores for demanding tasks and efficient Cortex-A55 cores for everyday use. The phones come with 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 256 GB or 512 GB of Internal Storage. Notably, the phones support memory expansion with a micro SD card slot, a feature not commonly found in recent Oppo smartphones. The operating system also provides 12 GB of Virtual RAM, utilizing a portion of the internal storage.

Both the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro showcase a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution (20:9) for a smooth and immersive viewing experience. The display also supports HDR10+ and boasts a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. For added durability, the Reno12 Pro features Gorilla Glass Victus, while the standard Reno12 utilizes the new Gorilla Glass 7i.

The Reno12 Pro stands out with its superior camera system, headlined by a 50 MP Sony LYT600 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization. It also includes an 8 MP ultrawide lens with an IMX355 sensor and a 50 MP Samsung JN5 sensor with a 2x telephoto lens for versatile photography.

The Reno12 shares the same primary and ultrawide cameras as the Pro model but lacks the telephoto lens. However, it compensates with a 32 MP front-facing camera with a wide 21mm lens and phase detection autofocus for high-quality selfies.

Oppo has integrated a suite of AI features into the Reno12 series. AI Clear Face enhances facial features in photos, while AI Best Face ensures everyone in a group shot has their eyes open. The updated AI Eraser allows users to effortlessly remove unwanted objects from images. The devices also offer AI-powered text and speech capabilities through AI Write, AI Speak, and AI Summary, leveraging Google's Gemini Model.

Both phones are equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery and support 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. While neither model includes a charger in the box, users can purchase a compatible SuperVOOC charger separately. The Reno12 and Reno12 Pro are sleek and stylish, with the Reno12 measuring 7.6mm thick and weighing 177g, while the Reno12 Pro comes in at 7.40mm thick for the Nebula Black variant and 7.45mm for the Nebula Silver, weighing 180g and 181g respectively. Both smartphones feature IP65 dust and water resistance for added peace of mind.

The Reno12 is priced at €500 for the 12GB/256GB configuration and will be available starting June 25th in Astro Silver and Black Brown. The Reno12 Pro, priced at €600 for the 12GB/512GB option, is already available for purchase in Nebula Black and Nebula Silver.
