Pixel phone users have reported issues with certain websites and apps failing to load when using Google's integrated VPN service. The problem, which surfaced recently, seems to affect the VPN by Google feature available on Pixel 7-8a phones and the older VPN by Google One service. Users noted that while some platforms like Amazon and Prime Video wouldn't load, others, like Wikipedia and Google, worked without issue.

Disabling the Google VPN service seemed to immediately resolve the loading problems. A temporary workaround for users who rely on the VPN is to exclude essential apps from using the VPN connection. While the issue appears to have resolved for some users after disconnecting and re-enabling the VPN, others still report ongoing problems.

Interestingly, the older VPN by Google One service, initially slated for discontinuation on June 20th, continued to function without these loading issues.

This issue doesn't appear to be widespread, as other devices connected to Google's VPN services haven't experienced similar loading errors. However, the VPN by Google One service has reportedly shut down after June 20th.
