Chrome 126 introduces a range of updates designed to improve browsing on Android and iOS devices. One notable change is the redesigned address bar for tablets, now featuring a sleek, modern look consistent with Google's Material You design language. Unlike the previous full-screen view, the new address bar appears as a compact column with rounded corners, ensuring the website remains visible below for easier navigation.

Enhancements extend beyond aesthetics. Chrome Actions, shortcuts providing quick access to browser settings and features, are now integrated into local business listings within search results. For instance, when searching for a restaurant, shortcuts for calling, getting directions, and reading reviews will be readily available. This feature is currently live on Android and will be arriving on iOS devices this fall.

Further simplifying search, Chrome now prioritizes frequently accessed websites based on your search history. If you regularly visit a website containing a specific keyword in its description, that site will appear higher in the search suggestions when you use that keyword.

For iOS users, Chrome's address bar now includes trending search suggestions, easily accessible from the New Tab Page.

And for sports enthusiasts, both Android and iOS users will find live sports cards integrated into the Discover feed on the New Tab Page, providing quick updates and scores.
