Apple launched its traditional back-to-school season promotion in the U.S. and Canada last month. This year, students and educators who purchase qualifying Mac and iPad models will receive a free gift card of up to $150. Now it looks like Apple is preparing to launch the campaign in Europe as well.
Apple’s 2022 back-to-school season campaign will launch in Europe next week, Portuguese website iFeed.pt has learned from sources familiar with the matter. Similar to offers already available in the U.S. and Canada, student shoppers will receive a free gift card of up to €150 with the purchase of a new Mac or iPad.
Apple is offering a free $150 gift card with the purchase of a new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro or iMac in countries where the campaign is already running. For the iPad, Apple is offering a free $100 gift card with the purchase of a new iPad Air or iPad Pro.
Apple Gift Cards can be used for purchases and subscriptions in the Apple Store, App Store, and iTunes Store, as well as Apple Books. Last year, Apple’s back-to-school season campaign offered customers free AirPods headphones. Now, with gift cards, customers can choose how they want to spend their money.
The campaign is also available in a number of Asian countries, including India and Thailand, and Apple is still offering the AirPods 2 headphones for free in those countries.
Apple’s Back-to-School Season campaign is part of the company’s education program, which offers discounts on new Macs and iPads for students, educators, and other members of schools and universities. Notably, students can also receive an AppleCare+ subscription for eligible products at a 20 percent discount.
