Rooting Any Android Phone via Recovery

  • Download SuperSU from the above link
  • Copy the downloaded zip package to the root (/sdcard) of your phone. Do not extract.
  • Reboot your phone to recovery mode.
  • Select Install Zip
  • Navigate to where the SuperSU package is, that is /sdcard
  • Select and flash it.
  • Reboot the device.

You should now see the SuperSU icon in your menu list after booting into System.

Note: Do not wipe anything in recovery mode else you will loose your data. You might also want to backup your firmware before flashing the SuperSU package, just in case.
